I really like that FSA front wheel and 75$USD is a steal.

not to hijack, but last summer I bought a late 80's Romic frameset on ebay for a beater .....when I got the frame , to my surprise, the frame was beat up more than I could see on the ad, but it had a complete Mavic Pista groupo in almost perfect condition...165 cranks, bb, headset, stem, post, 36 front and rear track hubs laced to vintage mavic tubular rims and lockring and vintage campy cog....the frame was in such beater shape and the group was so nice it shocked the hell out of me...I don't think the seller knew what she had on the frame. I went into the lbs a coupla weeks ago and all the shop guys all started coming out of the woodwork and offering me $ for the groupo, more than I paid for the bike

I am going to take it off and store the stuff I guess, don't want it on my beater

hot damn, i wish i could get a couple more bills together quick and get someone in new york to ship that pursuit frame to me. just look at it! stupid having to go the doctor and ****...

anyway, point is, it's nice.

Man, that Croll I love. Is it not the same frame I used to see in SF, with an Aero front and chub rear?

Any idea how much it was going for?!

onetwentyeight 12-30-06 02:57 PM

yea thats gnatthews. he moved to ny.

el-cid 12-30-06 03:22 PM

How about this track bike the guy with the Rene Herse in France has with wood rims and 1" pitch chain? Pretty sweet, but the $450 shipping kills it. Anybody have any idea what it is?

seaneee 12-30-06 04:22 PM

^^ That thing is soooo nice. But for that much, the least they could do is have better pics.

edit: oh, that link. sorry

onetwentyeight 12-30-06 04:31 PM

did you follow the link in the description? They are more than adequate.

who snagged that crazy looking guerciotti logo'd stem off the vintage section last night. It just dissappeared last night.

That would look sick with a new set of deep vees on it.

jacobpriest 12-30-06 06:54 PM

God, I would love to set up inch pitch and deep vees. no joke.

Any idea if he still has the Chub rear wheel, or is thinkin' of letting it go?

Mapei Windstopper winter caps for $17

There used to be 3 available :D.

Asudef 12-31-06 03:56 PM

Is this worth the price? I can't tell jack from it other than it's lugged and the dropouts look forged with the adjusting bolts so I guess it's not too bad?

Edit: Forgot to mention he's got other parts here as well, help me with my FG build, I'm desperate! :p

br995 12-31-06 04:00 PM

Centurions usually go for $200 complete on ebay. You don't know what that frame is, so you may be getting a better (or worse) deal. Not that I can actually answer your question.

Asudef 12-31-06 04:02 PM

Ah well, thanks anyway. Maybe someone else can shed some more light. I guess I should just start get it and start riding before I get picky with parts.
