coelcanth 02-07-07 09:58 PM

those are tru super record pista pedals with titanium spindles.. they are not just the regular super leggeri model with steel spindles and aluminum cages..
are you sure you guys got the SR's for cheap ?

i'm not saying they're worth $300 but it could happen.. plus, these are nos.. and you know what that means...

What do you want to know?

Those pedals are worth it especially NOS.

I got the track bb to those pedals left as my pedals were stolen with my bike years ago.

Campy was Ti crazy with Super Record. The road rear derailleur had Ti bolts, The track BB on some came with Ti spindles and alloy cups.

S/F,
CEYA!

the infamous and possibly ugly groundup design bike is for sale
http://gallery.groundupdesigns.com/a...0102.sized.jpg
http://www.fixedgearfever.com/module...ewtopic&t=2749

frameset for 1200, complete bike with zipp wheels for 2000

ryand 02-07-07 11:43 PM

that bike is strangely fantastic.

moki 02-08-07 12:11 AM

Groundup - just so crazy it might work. I'm interested to see if he'll settle down in his designs, or just keep getting wackier.

As for the Campy pedals, I just paid that much for a pair. Of course they came with most of a bike attached to em.

number18 02-08-07 12:17 AM

SO HOT I was drooling over that bike yesterday...

copper-plating rules...

12XU 02-08-07 03:35 AM

Why is the entire bike only 800 bucks more? That disc, if at all a recent model, is worth a over half that easily!

Sammyboy 02-08-07 04:45 AM

*Drool*

It's too small for me, but if anyone wants help getting this to them from the UK, I'd be glad to help. It's a 22 inch Flying Scot path racer frame.

from those pics, $275 is a steal.

unless he touched it up since last year, it had a fairly sizable chip in the paint on the non-driveside downtube, and you could see the rust pitting underneath. total turn-off

how much was your 3Rensho?
I highly doubt that sale is intended for ANYONE wearing an ironic tshirt and track frame with a drop stem and riser bars. Based on the auction, it is a collector sell.

Preach it man, preach it. . . :(

Many things would be up for sale if it were bigger or I was shorter. Although, they do say you shrink as you get older . . .

DerekRI 02-08-07 10:13 AM

Dare I say it.. the groundup bikes just don't do it for me.

/ducks for cover.

ryand 02-08-07 10:22 AM

To each his own... unless he has dreadlocks and doesn't agree with me.
I do and don't like them at the same time.

true. but you are always one to dislike the hype in the market. Collector or not, 300 dollars for a pair of pedals is just TOO far. But maybe those are some I dont know about that are super rare and amazing. I dont know.

half of me rolls my eyes, thinking, oh, this builder is just going for a hard, industrial look. a gimmick.

but the other half of me is checking out the builds, and the types of tubing used, and thinking, damn, now, that's a kind of work that i haven't really seen before. that ****'s really unique.

and then the two halves fight to the death, but get mixed up, and my fiancee grabs the gun and holds it at the two halves, each of whom is insisting that they're the Original. and the fiancee shoots one of them. and the one that's left is embracing my fiancee, saying, "you made the right choice." and it's the one that things Ground Up is really unique and interesting, but still has the evil glint in its eye, because the hard industrial look is still kind of gimmickey.

ryand 02-08-07 10:48 AM

wow, i dont think anybody could have ever said that better.

endo shi 02-08-07 11:04 AM

Does anyone know who the "harcore blah blah" guy is out there who is selling all the keirin frames outta Japan? He seems to just be getting started but appears legit enough. Anyone know him?

DerekRI 02-08-07 11:17 AM

After this many auctions, I would assume he's legit. Get on it while his feedback is still low, and get yourself a deal. A $600 rensho is pretty rare these days.

killsurfcity 02-08-07 11:41 AM

that flying scott makes me lose my breath a little. of course, i'm 6'4", so i have no hope for that thing. :(
