that is a Very Early campy post and it is NOS in it's matching box..
yours is probably not the same version.. look closely at the machining of the clamp area where it meets the post as well as the cradle parts..

ChucksBikes was selling those seatposts for $35 in the matte black for a few weeks about 5 or 6 months ago.

It's vintage in the same way a varsity with a cog screwed onto the freewheel hub is a "TRACK BIKE".

That was the first seatpost intoduced by Camapagnolo, the box is huge rare. The main difference with the common Nuovo Record and early Gran Sport is that the top part is hollow, and is high shine chrome. I had one of these on my 1959 Simplex Juy Crescent Bike, very cool stuff!

i highly recommend this setup as an alternative to track stem and track bars, especially for short people. see, short people have short arms and it doesn't make sense to have deep-ass handlebars that make short people feel like they're gonna knee ourselves in the throat when we're in the drops. criterium bars have the graceful swoop of track bars, but a reasonable drop. i have them on my pog, and they're great.
