How does that guy know they are pista cranks? Single chainwheel cranks are pretty common for that era, especially on 3 speeds. Am I missing something?

Here's a one piece crank that I could easily deal with:

The premise of buying the bike would create an excellent opportunity to throw a pie in his face.

Smorgasgeorge 06-11-07 10:00 AM

Spicer built-up with decent components in Philly for $375? hmmm

That is a lot of money for something with a broken weld.

a couple years ago i saw an auction for a wrecked 3rensho frame go for $350. the headtube was cracked, and the lug that joins the headtube to the down tube was also cracked..

sirpoopalot 06-13-07 03:58 PM

and i would totally remove "gin" from the decals to make that a *** bike.

morbot 06-13-07 06:10 PM

the weld is on the seatstay bridge, which is hardly the most important part of a bike, if that's any consolation

EMT 06-13-07 07:37 PM

Looks interesting---almost ending though.

I've never heard of this framebuilder (Fukunaga). Anyone know more?

mugatu 06-14-07 02:30 AM

this would be cool for just bumming around town and making grocery runs
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...8140&rd=1&rd=1

the ****ty thing about finding a good deal is that I know I can't afford components worthy of any frame I find

Astronomical 06-14-07 08:53 AM

Gan Well complete for $700, but it's only the frame that's NJS.

Radicool.

i'd put gears back on that ganwell pro.
but i wouldn't pay 700 for that...a conversion with crappy parts...

Astronomical 06-14-07 09:44 AM

It is a conversion isn't it.... sneeeaky.

cassette 06-14-07 10:16 AM

i'm gonna swoop that ****! figure once you part it out you'll pay around 4xx for the frame which is insane for a gan well...i've got a d/a group sitting here for it.

mugatu 06-15-07 11:03 AM

I can't believe someone would put those components on that frame

Astronomical 06-15-07 11:09 AM
