Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

So when we started playing bike polo a few years ago, we played with mallots that were pvc pipe attached to the end of a golf club shaft. We soon realized, new as we were to the sport, that we could scoop the ball in the end of the pipe and do all sorts of crazy moves and ****, dragging the ball behind the rear tire so that you could avoid opposing players on either side was the favorite.
We soon decided that this was no longer legal on our polo court. It made it too easy for players to traverse the entire court without passing. The next few times we played, we were constantly reminding each other not to drag the ball, at which point this conversation happened with a new player arrived:

"Hey, no draggin'"
"Huh? Whats a dragon?"

End

This thread is dragon on too long!

On a related note, my oldest son (11) is all into dragons and stuff. Also saw a nice tat that Chris Garver did on a guy's shoulder and arm last night on Miami Ink. I also liked Steve Caballero's dragon theme for most of his skateboard designs. I think I have them all too!

I got this from TV, so it must be true.
