judging by the emphasis on your text and language, i'd say you care too much about what rims other people use on their bikes.

I must have missed the memo; what can't they go on? I'm assuming we are limiting the range to bicycles.

dirtyphotons 11-01-06 12:44 PM

i just want you all to appreciate the fact that i did not post a deep v/nathan fabian/pony/dt shifter/birthday cake photoshop.

you're welcome.

JoeEasy 11-01-06 01:01 PM

no, because every ****ing person has them and they all think they look good. this person asked what color he should get and everyone gave an opinion and mine is that i'm sick of seeing them everywhere. just because you can put them on doesn't mean you should.

Well, they mostly do look attractive, unless it's a vintage bike. Even then it can be done with a little imagination.

What's wrong with a good looking bike? It's art utility.

JoeEasy 11-01-06 01:13 PM

a good looking bike is one thing, lime green rims on every bike that you come across is un-original.

JoeEasy 11-01-06 01:18 PM

http://fixedgeargallery.com/2006/nov/JohnPower_3-1.jpg clean and classy rims http://fixedgeargallery.com/2006/nov/JohnPower_3.htm this guys ride

Hogwash. If zipp 404's or 303's came in lime green I would put those ***ers on every bike I could get my hands on, and that sht would be hot.

jet sanchEz 11-01-06 01:19 PM

Gold.

JoeEasy 11-01-06 01:21 PM

so you have a color monitor then, not a black and white

Most bikes I see have box-section rims. So if everyone did the anti-fashion, wouldn't that be un-original?

Pardon me...I'm working on a project about post-internet culture, and this stuff fascinates me.

Black CXP-33. Oh, you mean deep v... Black machined if you must. But how about some black cxp33's instead?

Actually, I took offense.

JoeEasy 11-01-06 01:40 PM

whatever, have your clown bikes and ride. if you are to get a set of V's, don't make your bike look like a cheap w h o r e

TRaffic Jammer 11-01-06 01:57 PM

make it look like a 1500$ escort instead

Isn't there a joke about calling a ***** the town bicycle?

My bike looks like a forgotten step-daughter that was locked in the cellar for years. A whorish looking bike would be a step up.

the car i drove in high school was a $1500 escort. the hilarity in that has escaped me till now.

If you're set on deep Vs (which you shouldn't be... they're not even eyeletted!) then get dark blue. They look nice on the debernardi thron which is red with white lettering. You can still be unique too because the guy I know who had a bike like that got it run over....
