Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Do you ever wonder if the people who invented the Internet (Al Gore) find threads like this sometimes and just pour themselves some scotch, go to their basement, and sit very quietly crying for awhile?

face it... there are hipsters because at some point you wanted to look cool on your bike....it all paid off...now you have a fleet of hipsters to idolize you.

just shut up and ride.
Already selling the Aerospoke you just bought?

Well played! Crotch shots might well be this thread's one and only salvation.

Bikes: All have flats.

*Sniffle* I remember the last time I was a hipster.... T'was the Summer of '97. Nation of Ullysees was on the record player, I was getting on my GT Palomar ATB to ride down to Impala Cafe to see ****z, and I felt so freakin' awesome I was ridin' to a show.... Magic moments. Now I'm old, and the only cool thing I gots is this Effin' Fixed-gear. We are all hipsters. Every one of us.
