a Yakima for my fixies.
Is a Yakima roof bike rack worth $250 only used 4 times. It looks new. Reason why I'm asking in here is because I'll be hauling my fixie and single speed on this. I was going to buy new but this came out of the blue and it sounds and looks like a good deal. What do you guys think?
Thanks guys.

I haul my fixie and mtb on a Yakima. I think it's called the Viper fork mount carrier. Is $250 for just the roof rack or does it include the carrier too?

Where are you from? I'd watch around on craigslist for one. I see them all the time on the philly CL for less than 100$ You might not find it for your exact car but its likely that all you need is to buy the right clips for about 60$ and you're good. My dad bought me a yakima rack with two bike attachments for 5$ at a yard sale. Then I bought the Q-clips for my volvo for 60$ and I'm golden. I have the kind that holds the bike by the front fork and back wheel ( I also got a front wheel holder attachment).

It's the whole package. Four Q clips, wind gard thingy, and it holds two bikes.
For five bucks, thats a steal. I know there about $600 dollars new.
My car also uses the Q clips so it would be a direct fit. I'm not sure what the prices are for used ones go for so I'm trying to decide. Hmmm.
I'm in Sacramento.

Well theres probably plenty on CL there too. Also, I'm pretty sure there is more than one type of Q-clip(although I might be wrong) depending on the type of car. But yea, they are really expensive new so even 250 isn't bad and I love my roof rack.

You will most likely have to get new q-clips to fit your car. Also, make sure that the crossbars are long enough for your car model. If you need more bike racks and already have crossbars, consider the rocky mounts racks (https://www.rockymounts.com/lariat.html), which are a bit cheaper and still pretty nice. They also come in (sort of) cool colors to match your deep v's.
