I know that Burberry is so easily ripped off because you can't patent "plaid" even though it is a distinct plaid. That said, I'm going to wager, no, you can't patent a colour. But this is just a guess.
Oh, and the reason the pattern for Louis Vuitton, Chanel, etc. are patented is because they are a logo.
Damn, my mom really ****ed with my head when I was growing up.

interesting, apparently colors can be trademarked. but given the definition i doubt that it will interfere with our partiular project.

I think Bianchi's Celeste would be a classic example of color as a trademark.

anyhoo, i doubt sanrensho patented their blue, and if they did i think we can approximate it without running afoul of the lanham act. any law students out there?

Please tell me again...how many people do we need as a group to get this deal? Was it 50? Can those that don't want SRB "re-poll" and try to come to an agreement of 50 people for another color? I'd like to see Neon Green and Neon Pink get together and make it happen as well as those that wanted Orange and Brown. LOL, there goes my two cents.

You should have elimination polls. The top 3 colours from this poll go to the next round (Neons for Mark V). BFSSFG colour tournament lmao

I think a better way of determining the color is to have the people that are actually commited to buy one add their top three choices.

While I like the result of the poll...there is an issue...you could vote for multiple colors. I will be up front and say I did. I voted for every color listed that I would buy the bike in. That is how you get so many votes.
And until someone has put their money down (and I am about 100% sure no one has yet) NO ONE has made any commitment to actually buying a bike. Also the vote thing says there were 167 votes (not 280) so I am not the only one that voted for more than one color.
For the record I voted for everything other than the 2 neon colors and brown.
