Singlespeed chain in road 3/32" width?
I got a KMC 8-speed chain on my fixie and the chain rattle bothers me, especially if there is any dirt or sand on the chain links. I have heard of single-speed chains (SRAM PC-1 for example) that do not have play between the links so they run quieter, but I have only seen them in 1/8". Do they come in 3/32" width?

Use a dry lube and keep your bike maintained.

Also, I should have been more specific: my chain is 3/32" width, but since it is made for a multi-geared bike, the links have play in them so I was asking about a 3/32" chain that is tight and doesn't bend laterally. Obviously, chainline has to be perfect for this to work. I will check out that Izumi.

All chains flex laterally to some extent, even 1/8" track chains. Your are not going to find a chain that has no lateral play...bike chains just don't work that way. In my experience Izumi chains are noisy. I've had better luck with KMC chains.

I have the KMC Z-chain model # Z72S. I cleaned it up and tightened up my chainring bolts and the rattle seems to have faded considerably. Thanks for the help.
