Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

powder coat doesnt look that much different. Its just hardcore durable. It wont come off or scratch. Google it.

Where i come from in the states, powder coating something that small would be very cheap. In the bay area everything costs 2 times more. I lived there for 5 years and am moving back this summer. See ya there.

I don't think they were widely available. I was told the track specific ones were actually made by Waterford. Ceya probably knows more about this. Ceya?

Yeah. I've heard that some of the steel SUL quill stems were made by Waterford too. Maybe I'll post something in C&V about it.

Cool. I'd love to follow to know more about it. For what it's worth, it's an amazing stem. Big, beefy, really stiff. It's great.
