Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: Makino (have the parts; not yet built), EAI Barekuckle, Unknown Japanese fixed conversion, Centurion Dave Scott Ironman road bike (frame), Secret project bike, 2007 Trek Madone 5.2, Cannondale Caad3 mountain bike

I can't help but think that those wheels, when spinning really fast, would lift the bike off the ground. Like a helicopter. But really a bike. And with sideways blades.

If that were true it'd create a sideways crosswind type force not lifting into the air superman style.

Frozen in silence
Facin it alone
Gotta keep my cool
Make em think I'm made of stone

It's a game of wills we're playin
A love two made of steel
Balanced on the edges of everything we feel

It's gonna take of we've got
Just to make it through this night
Gotta feel it right through my skin
And it's cuttin like a knife

Get ready to break the ice
Feels like time is standing still
Aiming right for you heart
Ready to take another spill
Only you can make it right
You can break the ice inside of me

A single minded passion
A solitary stand
I thought I was alone
Left out in the cold again
So I'm givin you all I've got
I'm gonna make it through this night
And even though I could fall
I'm prepared to loose the fight

Get ready to break the ice
Feels like time is standing still
Aiming right for you heart
Ready to take another spill
Only you can make it right
You can break the ice

Get ready to break the ice
Feels like time is standing still
Aiming right for you heart
Ready to take another spill

Get ready to break the ice
Feels like time is standing still
Aiming right for you heart
Ready to take another spill

Get ready to break the ice
Feels like time is standing still
Aiming right for you heart
Ready to take another spill

What I was really looking for was a pic of a pink GT pro performer, but nothing turned up.
I used to have a 1986 RL20II just like the one in the picture above, except it was turquoise with turquoise forklifter bars and stem with pink Peregrine mags. And it had a coaser brake with ACS freecoaster (gives you a freewheel option)...that thing was awesome.
