old & beat messenger bags
Okay.. sooo i've searched this forum.. seen some amazing custom bags.. looked at fixedgeargallery and i'm pretty sure this will be a new thread
I just ordered an Under The Weather Messential bag.. and now i'm interested in seeing pictures of your old/worn/beat/lived & loved messenger bags... (R.E.Loads and UTW mostly.. but i'll take anything)
I think it would be an eye opener for lots of people to see what these amazing bags look like years down the road!!
thanks!

I also have an orange timbuk2 laptop bag my girlfriend bought so we can carry our macbook.. but again.. nice bag if your NOT on a bike.. swings around and sucks..

I've had my seagull for 4 years now... there are barely any worn spots on it at all. The only thing that's fading at all is the silk screen he did on it (this was back before he was doing any embroidery.) The strap is sooooooo smooth on it now that I am actually a little happier in my day when I adjust it.

yikes.. thats rude.. (of people, i understand erik doing that) i ordered a custom color bag from under the weather.. and they were the most pleasant and friendly people to order from... totally blew me away with the level of customer service they provided...
I was considering zo bags also.. but I could not find much about how their bags are made on their website.. and the price on ebay made me grin, if not cringe.. made the decision to buy a UTW alot easier!!
but to each their own.. i think i'm developing a bag fetish per say.. i've visited every single webpage for every single maker and I can't wait to see more
cheers!

yeah I'll tell you what.. your zugster bags, sir are pretty hot... it's gotta be a fun and crazy time to be a messenger bag maker.. there are a bunch of good people making great products.. i must say as a consumer.. i have not enjoyed 'shopping' this much in awhile...
i made my choice of company.. but in an ideal world i'd have one of each from everyone
cheers!

My bag is pretty new so it won't fit in here just yet. I found my old one while packing the other day and I was going to take a pic but it was all wet and reeked of cat pee so I had to toss it out

this bag was a hand-me-down from my roommate. i've had it for 3+? years, who knows how long he had it. oldest timbuk2 i've seen. probably because everyone has bags that are still waterproof now.

I haul **** in a older patagonia half-mass, or something along those lines. I dunno exactly what it is, to be honest; I pulled it out of the lost and found where I used to work.
It's a bit on the small side, but I like it. Like jim-bob said: it wears in, not out.

Fixxxie, you could've rescued that cat pee bag with some ammonia. Bad kitty! Of course, you probably would've still had memories of what happened to it.

(Black with white tape was one of the most popular bags, there should be a ton out there. I don't think he even discovered other colors of reflective tape until the late nineties or so.)
