Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'm all for doing the new things, but WTF!?! Is that supposed to be cool or even useful at all? Maybe it's like that to say, "Yeah see! I never use my brake unless I really need it! And even then I have to take one of my hands off of the bars keeping me from being able to stop both wheels. See man I'm a true fixed gear elite douc... umm rider."
Oh my god, if someone I know does this I'm taking a screw driver and putting their brake where it belongs every time they're not looking.

I can't think of a dumbest place to put a brake, on a bike. As soon as you start braking your hand will slip off and you have no support in the forward direction.

Brilliant.

This is almost as jackass as the pig vomit bicycle. And that was the pinnacle, or so I thought.

Yikes. That bike is local. That ebay listing is quite missleading. Unless there are two BMCs in town both set up identaically, I know for a FACT that exact bike was ridden in the Stupor Bowl through the salt and slush.

Deffinately not "used ONE time at the track. Used 1 hour and thats it."

In north America its mostly fun and games to diss people with red hair but here in the UK they're more serious about hating "gingers". It's creepy.

Also, giving ronnie there a hard time for his clothes is a bit pathetic.

haha, it's gone from people *****ing about brakeless w/ platforms to people *****ing about properly equipped bikes and they simply don't like the color of the components.
