Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? They are everywhere. In plenty of different colors. Look at MTB gear, for example

I got mine for free from the scraps bin at my lbs. love them so much. I also switch out my bars every couple of weeks though, going between drops, bullhorns, risers, sometimes super wide cruiser bars... depends on my mood and where I'm riding.

My spicer has such a long TT I had to buy the shortest 26.0 stem I could possibly find. I don't think I've ever seen such a long top tube.. its like 62cm long! At least theres no toe overlap!

I was thinking about that! Even better is to then attach a steering wheel to the bike. Lots of hand positions!

Hell no, my back thanks me for the upright position. The drops are for the track only

i'm assuming risers with drop stems are purely asthetic... its kindof redundant to use that set up...
i have a drop stem, but i prefer to run a flat bar on it... or else i'd just put a 73 degree on there...

no disrespect meant, i like the look, but i just can't justify it as reasonable.

UGLY!
700c bikes with risers always look funny, like somethings missing. I ride mustache bars on my freewheel ss commuter, does anyone ride them fixed?

I totally saw you outside Disque today. I had my rust/white reload midpack on but wasn't on my bike. I think I was walking with two black girls an you might have caught me staring at your bike.

Why no riser stems to go with the riser bars?

I'll have to borrow a camera to show my bike with a riser stem AND riser bars. And fat tires.
