did you notice that when they're tearing ass out of there they almost hit a car parked on the other side of the street and run a stop sign?

In reference to the urban dictionary definition for whips, I dont see how these rappers have a clue as to what stage coach drivers called the reigns. They all of a sudden saw the mercedes symbol and thought, "whip"?

might sound far off. but it is believable. hip hop and rap lyrics are so coded with far reaching metaphors that it is possible to make the stretch. listen to MF Doom. he often uses old and forgotten words in his lyrics.
