cycling jewelry

I'm looking for a good place to buy cycling related jewelry, such as chain necklaces. Anybody here know any good places or even ways to DIY would be great. Thanks a lot guys

Go to a bike shop that has lots of bmx stuff. Then, ask for a bit of half-link chain, or ask to look through their spare chain box. Find something that's long enough for a bracelet, necklace, etc. Then, hit up the jewlery store and get a hasp, and a bit of thin wire. attatch it all and you have a simple, potentially bad-ass, and easily removeable piece of cycling jewelry. I'm working on a bracelet of half-link Shadow Conspiricy bracelet. I still need to clean it of the stickey lube it comes with, and I need to figure out a attatchment technique. Good luck.

1) use a chain tool to cut chain to the right size.
2) use one of those twisty tie things that come on bread bags to hold it together. (or something better if you have it obviously)
3)Wear it.

edit: you can just dumpster dive behind a bike shop for an old chain.

Hasp? Twist-tie? Y'all are a bunch of tourists.

Put that **** on with some chain pliers and call it done.

i wouln't put anything around your neck that wouln't easily break away. or any body part. not a good idea if it gets caught on somthing. or if someone decides to strangle you. i particularly live in fear of the latter.

The tricky thing about bike chains is they only really bend in one plane. I'm not sure that would lend itself well to a necklace. I made a keychain out of an old chain, though, and I love it.

I've seen bike chain necklaces and bracelets, pre-made, at Hobby Lobby. Try that.

Also, a bike tire belt is SWEET! And easy to make too. Check out the instructions here:

https://www.bmxonline.com/bmx/feature...519235,00.html

If you're too lazy to do the part with the chain links, it's easy to sew it with fishing line, and it won't show.

As someone who sells jewelry for a living, bike jewelry is never acceptable. The only jewelry that is acceptable for a man is a wedding ring and a fine watch.
This rule goes out the window if you are a pro athlete, a musician, a street pharmacist, if you spend more than 50k a year on jewelry ( but it must be at least 10 percent of your pretax income) or if you are buying jewelry from me.

I used to have an inner tube belt... the "clasp" was made out of two sets of bearings. It was awesome, but small. I need to find that...

Ride your bike so much and so crazy that you eventually get in a really bad car accident, but force the doctors to leave part of the car inside your person.

Best jewelry ever.

You can do this with a spare axle and two 15mm bolts. I am not sure it will work with a QR skewer, tough. Well maybe if you add a TuggNut

Travel to Italy, go to the shrine of the Virgin of Ghisallo, patron saint of bicyclists, and get a medallion. The bike ride to the shrine is steep.

i had an old bike chain around my left wrist until about 3 days ago. It lasted a good 3 or 4 months before it started to rust so i was impressed. I had it on using a chain tool so it didn't come off, meaning it went through showers and all.

currently i have a piece of an old tube flattened out with hearts stitched on it on my right wrist. Its easy and fun to do in under an hour or so.

Etsy.com always has cycling related jewelry and other stuff. I just bought track bike cupcake toppers from there, but they have chain & tube jewelry as well as bike earings and the like.
