Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

…could very well be one of the reasons Brooks stopped shipping adjusting wrenches with their saddles!

More thoughts: It looks a bit dry; when was the last time you applied Proofide™ (if ever…) ?

I wonder if it got wet, and was dried with a hair-dryer or popped in the oven instead of letting it dry naturally…

that doesn't look half as dried as a brooks i saw today... it was cracking like old paint on a weathered wooden wall... alternative analogy: flaking off like a nasty case of the yeast vag.

lol.

oh jeez.

the saddle came off a 1972 super sport. i have no idea of the history, i just rode it a bit. deimos jumped on it and it broke in half!

no worries, i just got the saddle of my dreams after months of waiting. muahaha.

well, skin rips sometimes.

Probably doesn't help that it doesn't get blood flow anymore.
