What's the best way to get rid of the Raleigh decal that's under the paint? Just got the bike this weekend. Love it. And yes, the saddle becomes a pain after 15 miles or so.

Hey guys...quick question again. So I've been commuting w/ this bike for the past 2 weeks and doing some weekend rides. The first 7 rides or so were sweet, but now something has seemed to slow it down. I've checked the tire pressure and that seems fine. I'm riding in free wheel mode at the moment. Anything else I should be looking at? Thanks.

I run bullhorns w/o rear brake or freewheel. |
rumors on the '08 rush hour:
we talked to our raleigh guy the other day and he showed us about half of the new stuff - this did not include the new rush hour, however, he did show the new xxix. the 07 xxix, graphically, looks very similar to the rush hour. things they changed: - decals on top of the overcoat - got rid of the raleigh on the downtube - the new graphics... well i'm not too happy about. he said images of the new rush hour ought to show up around interbike. you can head to raleigh's website to see what i'm talking about. |

The new one is geared 48x18. Good commuter gearing. The original is geared more for the track at 48x15.

Nope, even though the website says 48/15, the '07 is 48/18.

Anyone got the '08? Impressions? I put down a deposit on an '08 due in next week.

The ONe-way is a great looking bike. No doubt about it.

So does everyone switch out the stock gearing on their rush hour? I rode a '07 in the shop, and the gearing seemed pretty steep. If I do go for a different ratio, should I switch the chainring or the cog. Seems like the chainring would be a better option, because it would lower the gearing on both fixed and free cogs.
|
I'm playing between a 47tx16 and 47tx17. The 17t cog almost spins to much whereas the 16t is a little stiff for going up hills around here. The 16t cog really isnt too bad. Get rid of the cog and chainring that the bike comes with though.

i'm a big fan of my 48x17. but i'm not sprinter either. it takes a little effort to skid and wasn't very easy at first. it should be noted that i live in a fairly flat state and rarely have to deal with climbs. |
