Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Wow

so i went to the local bike co-op yesterday and went through a pile of bikes that were going to be discarded due to being too old/broke/not-sellable to fix. i pulled out a bmx...an allen key and some air made it ride. i decided i wanted to try and learn a couple of tricks, so i went over to the bmx forum.

i can't read half the posts.

also, i'm debating going back there to salvage and fix a polo bike and a tall bike, which i might build as a fixed gear tall bike.

Quick, think of an acronym for w.o.i.w, it's your only hope.

It's OK, I am sure no one here will notice the irony.

"Woiw"? BMX spelling must be contagious....

well, i've got one, and most of the frames had cottered or ashtabula cranks. i don't want to deal with that.

i'm going to go back to the bmx forum, though. i need to learn some tricks.

Ha, that's funny because the mod, FitRider921 is pretty stringent about proper spelling. Oh, and make sure to call everything "gay" he loves that!
