i've been rocking shop glasses-- they work well on cold-snappy nights when you're bombing down a hill and you don't want to tear up.

i recently came across a nice fitting pair-- but i think they have minor amounts of magnification... since they are shop glasses n' all.

Don't ****ing crash all the time.

When you have mastered the above, go buy a Rudy Project Rydon with clear lens(es?).

My local Wal Mart has some good safety glasses with yellow lenses made in taiwan for under 6 dollars.

oakley has had some pretty cool transition sunglasses for a while now. i don't know if any at their lightest end is safe enough for night riding but it'd be worth checking out.

I use the clear safety glasses from Lowe's. Good for riding at night, good for weed-whacking.

uvex glasses. Buy a couple of lenses, rock the sunglass lens during the day, then take ten seconds to switch to the completely clear lens at night (any tint at all is bad at night).

You should probably buy a better light. I also don't understand how your glasses just fly off your face at 20mph. It seems they would be blown farther onto your face, or something.

And on the amber lenses: as someone else pointed out, they're not for night. They're best for low-light conditions like cloudy days or early morning, at least in my experience. Correct me if I'm wrong.

How do you not understand? I get ejected from the bike, hit the ground and stop, and the glasses keep going.

Why'd you bring up buying a better light? So I could wear sunglasses? That's ridiculous.

Oh, I didn't realize this was a crash related problem. A light so you can avoid crashing rendering other options unneccesary. How often do you wreck?

Better light = seeing the things your hitting before hitting them

At the same time... you are completely confused if you think an accident causes glasses to be pushed onto your face.... unless you are hitting the glasses on something directly.

Oakley M-frame Pro with clear glasses, beats anything I have used before.

Oakley Half Jackets. I use the Transition lens 99% of the time and swap in the clear (no tint) lens when I do night rides.

sounds like my eyes. if i wear glasses (which i haven't for a while), i lose all peripheral vision because my eyes are just that bad. contacts are way better.

but you should still have glasses to give your eyes a break. i'm learning this the hard way, now that i've somehow acquired allergies and don't have any glasses to wear to give my eyes a rest.
