You'll want photochromic lens, darkens when exposed to UV, clear at night or inside

I endorse the idea of picking up cheap industrial protection glasses. I've gotten them for about $5 a pop. They're tough, meet all the ANSI safety standards, have UV protection, and are available in any color or darkness you might need.
Here are two I own:

Allsafe ballistic safety glasses
When I think how much I used to pay for brand name 'sports' glasses I want to hurl.
