Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

in the story it didn't say whether he had rimless or rimmed but i assumed only rimless would cut through his skin

Nashbar for example have a couples between 30 to 50$

I endorse the idea of picking up cheap industrial protection glasses. I've gotten them for about $5 a pop. They're tough, meet all the ANSI safety standards, have UV protection, and are available in any color or darkness you might need.

Here are two I own:
Pyramex safety glasses
Allsafe ballistic safety glasses

When I think how much I used to pay for brand name 'sports' glasses I want to hurl.
