in the story it didn't say whether he had rimless or rimmed but i assumed only rimless would cut through his skin

it is fixed but is is not gear

maybe fixie isnt actually short for fixed gear

You'll want photochromic lens, darkens when exposed to UV, clear at night or inside

Nashbar for example have a couples between 30 to 50$

I endorse the idea of picking up cheap industrial protection glasses. I've gotten them for about $5 a pop. They're tough, meet all the ANSI safety standards, have UV protection, and are available in any color or darkness you might need.

Here are two I own:
Pyramex safety glasses
Allsafe ballistic safety glasses

When I think how much I used to pay for brand name 'sports' glasses I want to hurl.
