You really think those are unpainted? WHY!?!?!
I love that mutant stem.
Hazy, what wheels did you get?
Did anyone here get in on that Miche group buy? Lucky you! I wish I had my money then.

Ive been trying to decide the same things..
Cranks: Miche, Sugino, bulletproof.. Black or silver.. too many questions.
Wheels: probably deep v's, too many new colors.
Bars: risers, horns, drops..
seat: brooks or my old specialized alias
I dunno what I'm going to do.. but we still have a while to think about it I guess.

haha funny crank choices.
Nice(expensive), Nice(expensive), Ugly(cheap).
Then again what do i know? I ride IRO's, but i think they look much better than cheaper alternatives, and I couldn't justify the 150+ for the others.

The site does say 'photos from before they were shipped', which probably means the framebuilder or painter took the photos. Which may mean they were under shop lighting and/or taken with a crappy camera— possibly explaining the odd colour situation.
In other news, if that blue frame is a 50, I might need a 53. Trades?

i don't know...the green looks right on...which makes me think the blue looks different than we thought...but i'll still like it, though.
and for the record, those top two pictures are definitely unpainted frames.

The green and unpainted ones look like they were taken on a wooden surface (matte) whereas the blue was taken on the floor (glossy), that could explain the odd tint. Probably also a cheap camera. I'm also stoked to know that if I get sick of the green, there's a pretty damn nice color underneath the paint.
Oh, and I'm using the Miche group on it, so silver components for me. I don't know, black components on a BRG frame just look like trying to hard to me, I'll take steazy.

+1 to the idea about those photos being taken with bad light, crappy camera, etc. I wouldn't panic just yet if I had ordered blue.

I'm not super hellbent on made in USA zealotry... but I'm sure glad as hell my new bike was made in brooklyn. I called in, swung by the shop to see the frame being made , chose a color, and it's at the powdercoater right now.
Yes, my frame is four times the cost of the group buy IRO, but I didn't have to wait several months just to get my frame stateside.

However, I've got a job lined up in China starting in late August/early September, which makes me wonder if I should just let the bike sit for a year, or cough up the extra $$ to ship it with me and ride fixed in China for a year's time....otherwise why did I wait so long to let it sit around the garage?
