i don't think it's a bad idea. how is this any worse than all the other things people are doing to make their bike looks "custom" and "unique"? everyone just has to hate until a select few get the snowball rolling and then they slide in and act like the "cool guys".

but if you're not creative enough, or don't have the capacity, what then?

custom just means you have whatever combination of components that you prefer, be it for a functional purpose or for blingin out your bike.
in the case of these stickers, whatever. they're just stickers. i don't think it's stupid just because someone doesn't make their own or find someone to do it.

I'm waiting to see a set bedazzled in cubic zirconiums, or crystals.....
As the fixed gear bike is the new skateboard then I saw this coming from 20+years ago.
Wait ... it'll get much worse before it gets better.

I think it´s actually kind of healthy that people have abandoned any pretensions of actually riding their fixies. Fixies suck on uphills, downhills and on most flat parts inbetween.

Y'all frustrated at the fact that cycling, i.e. one of the most visually appalling sports on earth :
Is finally getting an influx of visual creativity from the sport that has produced more creative people than any other :
but maybe you just like this kind of stuff:

Hey guys, I love this show. Please, please keep it up. The ratings must be going through the roof - I know I can't stop watching.

mmmmaybe...I do. Skating had some pretty horrible years. I started skating in '77, so I've seen the ebb and flow in the sport. Cycling is all about the logos (advertisers/sponsors) and moving towards graphics as more people fall in love with riding and creating individual rides. Skating was about the graphics and is now all about the logos now that the sponsers/advertisers clued into the demographic.

What with your Mtv, and your diet sodas.
How's a guy to decide on his own.

All I'm saying is that I want people to come up with their own designs, rather than just look to others to come up with decals that look okay and that thousands of other people have. I want people to express their own creativity and create somthing truly custom and fitted to their aestetics.
i.e. instead of this:
I would like to see this:
edit: or if you must buy a design, don't buy one that can be made by running a few filters through photoshop.

I dont think a "mystery machine" job is anymore creative than the first...probably less. I guess you've never hung out in Atlanta near the Cartoon Network/CNN/Turner-whatever studios are. I've seen plenty of those mystery machine marketing clones around...
as for decals for deep vs? who gives a ****...I think they're ugly and wont catch on...certainly not with that design.
