Deep V's hit the next level with the help of hype

I never really liked the look of Deep Vs before.I understand that they are some of the strongest rims made, but i think they look a little silly. These stickers will probably bring more people to buy ugly wheels.

Some people can really pull these off, but I suspect that if these
really take off, they'll end up on more $30 Ross conversions than
worthwhile track bikes.

This was a terrible image choice on my behalf. I glanced at it real quicklike and thought it was jsut some flowery hippie design someone decided to stick on thier car.
so uh, basically imagine that that is a car that someone came up with a cool design for.

I honestly love this thread. I love how some of the "newbies" go through the same feelings of "i'm the baddest fixed gear guy" knowing he just graduated from his bianchi pista (not concept, mind you) and dropped 2G, make that 3G on his now super rad Nagasawa. (btw, i got some for sale).
It's awesome, really. What we have here is called MARKETING 101 people. I've been making decals over 12 years and if any of you want something custom, just come to the store when we open. I designed all of the rims minus the huf one. That one's Bennys. These aren't made for brakes but IF you must, we can figure something out. It's just something cosmetic and honestly, the best looking one I've done so far is the houndstooth (not seen online yet) and the spitfire one. The just work well.
Really now, who gives a dam. There's 10000 new fix bike guys in LA daily, 50 a day in NY (just cause they've been at it for a while) and we all know SF is transforming 25 a day. Really, it's just bike riding.
This is real drifting.. haha.

I think stickers or decals or painted designs on rims are all sweet as ideas with lots of room to work with.
I do not think leaving the manufacturer's stickers on the rim is cool. Hey, if you have a high-walled rim in hot pink...I kind of can guess what rim you paid your local shop to order and build for you, so you can take the sticker off.
