Good question, does it?
|
Mine came with a Dura Ace cog. I don't know if they have changed it.
|
most likely not. unless it says so on the spec sheet on the site. my BD bike came with a stamped cog i nearly broke a tooth off of in a couple months....id suggest buying a new cog/lockring/tires befoe it shows up
|
When did you get yours?
|
it mustve changed...rad. da cogs are good. just make sure its tight. (my moto came with a seriously dangerously loose cog and lockring.)

Seriously thinking of getting a Kilo TT but, which Nitto stem would I be able to fit into the TT and would I be able to fit a Chris King headset into it? Simple questions for most of you but, I haven't even gotten on a bike since I was 12! a renewed interest in getting fit has instigated this. T.I.A.
|
sneak: you probably don't need a king headset. there's a good thread discussing it. sure it's blingy but you don't need it for anything but really insanely harsh riding.
upgrading to a nicer headset is fine but it's probably not necessary. the big things to upgrade are the stem, bars, seat, cog, lockring, pedals, and tires. don't spend any money on other stuff until you've upgraded those. any 1" headset will fit. any 1" quill nitto stem will fit(pearl, jaguar). furious: attach a rear brake with a bunch of zipties to hold the cable to the TT. dew: don't be like me. know what you want, part bins aren't any fun... you can't ride them. |
i really like how the stock stem has 2 bolts holding the handlebars on. it makes it sooo easy to switch bars.
does anyone know of any other nice quill stems that have this feature? AFAIK, none of the nitto stems do this. |

AFAIK, none of the nitto stems do this. there was just a thread on this called something like 'pop top quill stems?' and there are a mess of them. i had a dimension one, salsa makes a great one, there are a few around. playing with lighting: ninja-murder-mercier kill you teetee http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2107/...5d4fc578_o.jpg i don't like the risers. i don't like the weight of the alloy seatpost. i do like that it's black and shadowy. |
What fork is that?
Oh and how's that dimension stem? |
it's stock. and the dimension stem is just fine; it's a good length, unlike my other stems.
|
Oh so you the way of the quill adapter on the stock fork?
|
no i had a frame and a fork that was too long for the headtube because this was a bikeisland frameset.
instead of having to cut and rethread the steerer tube i just cut it and put a threadless headset on it. it's not an adapter. i'm running a cane creek s-2. as far as i know there's only one other person with this setup, i found them on FGG. http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2007...herWinters.htm . everyone else with a threadless stem is using an adapter. i'm one of two threadless kilo's. |
My LBS has one of these lying around except it's branded bianchi. $20. Looks like a viable option but it's gunna look uglier than shiz.
|
yes. it will look like shiz.
unless you need that much adjustability, i'd suggest finding a cheaper stem. |
I don't need adjustability at all, I just need a black "pop-top" quill stem.
Cinelli Frog? Not that much better looking. Salsa? Makes my bike look like a wally-world "BSO" |
