Hey guys I finally finished building my second Fixie. This project was so much fun I have mixed feelings about being done. I guess the only thing to do is start building another FG....
I plan on riding this bike on RAAM 2007 and at the Furnace Creek 508 2007.

Nice! Your saddle looks a bit nose-up though, not a good position, particularly for a leather saddle IMO.
Valid point here, you should try to get some miles on the bike to work out any possible kinks. However, a fixed gear is bound to have less issues than a geared bike, especially one that was obviously carefully constructed.
I don't mean to disregard your new build, but you're going to do RAAM on a bike that you finished building a few days before the start of the event?

thanks guys for the concern. But I have done many centuries and 2 double centuries about 1,500 miles on this bike. I haven't posted it before because it wasn't "pimped out" yet. The anodized fenders and anodized stem were the last two pieces I added this week otherwise the bike is exactly the same bike I have been riding since Jan.
As mentioned above I have ridden 1,500 miles with the saddle in the nose up position you see. I have ridden 2 double centuries and didn't have any discomfort. I've been riding a Brooks saddles for many years and IMHO they need to be nose up. But this is truly a personal thing.

I like this bike quite a bit - especially the fenders. I've considered getting a Milwaukee frame and putting a disc fork on it - might still do it.

haha just kidding man, i saw https://www.epictrain.com/photo_gallery.html and took a look at it. i ride 49x16 in the city and it's about as high as i'd like to go, the steepest hill in town has me spinning out at about 35mph but it's very fun, fast and scary.

Oh man, riding palomar is a rough one, but that whole area is gorgeous. An amazing ride is from the coast out to Borrego Springs, especially when you hit the Banner Grade, that is one serious hill!
