Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

only works with 1 inch threadless. sucks for me. i've heard they are pretty good. haven't heard anything negative about it.

Only good if you can find the pinup plate for the top.

i've never used one, but i like the way they look and i've read that they're very stiff.

i've also heard good things about the 3t mutant stem. check that out if you haven't seen it

They're not light, but they're cool looking, and supposedly among the stiffest stems ever made.

It's really easy to strip the threading for the bolts on those things. You need to be really careful tightening it down.

Bikes: '87 Miyata Pista - '87 Bianchi Campione d'Italia - '95 Specialized Stumpjumper - '96 Bianchi TSX - '9? Colnago Superissimo - '00 Merlin Road S&S - '06 Santa Cruz Chameleon SS - '11 Ridley X-Bow - '13 All-City Space Horse - '13 Fondriest TFZero

I've never used it but it was plenty stiff and stylish enough for Cipollini to use. The Alter pinups are an added bonus.
