Yeah, but I bet knowing what you do now, you still would have participated in the group buy.
Who says he didn't think he had the manpower? He thought he did, perhaps overestimated himself, and made you angry. People make mistakes, but at least his intentions were good.
Get on with your life. I'm sure you're perfect.

wtf

got mine today, looks stellar. my cro-mo tange fork is the exact size for the frame, totally blew my mind. Have to go to my parents soon, to get the rest of the parts, left some bars, and what not there the last time I was homeless...
don't remember there being a bottle cage mentioned when I put money down, but I'm stoked it's there. a few dings, but I'll forget those the first time I ride it. hmmm now I need cranks, brakes, cyclo-levers and tires, wooo! possibly a new bottom bracket too...

BoSoxYacht: Seat tube O.D. measures 28.7mm on my cheapy Harbor Freight digital calipers.
Drewcifer: that totally SUCKS about your paint. I'd be all over the UPS guy. (2 green IROs in Gainesville?)

Not once did I hear him say "I'll hold your hand for a three month period, answer all your questions (even though they have been asked 50 times) for frames that I'm probably not making money off of not to mention a favor to the bike community and COMPLETELY outside the realm of my business plan".
Go run your own small business (manufacturing at that)then tell me how easy it is. The man has a million more things to worry about then some crybaby not getting a prompt answer about his discount frame.

For those thinking about a green brooks. I have a british racing green waterford, with the green swift, and unfortunately the IRO green is a little lighter and the brooks just doesn't seem to look right. Granted, it's my personal opinion, but they are definately not similar greens.

2) communication is key in any business interaction. in reality, all he had to do is follow up with his website consistently. any legitimate business that took your money and was MIA (no communication) for 3months would merit the same response in my opinion.
the 'group buy' frame is roughly 1/2 the normal price, and yes, while it is a great deal, still doesn't merit this blind faith attitude that this company is exempt from standard business practices that some people here suggest. ive owned 2 other iro frames (angus and mark v) and am very supportive of the company (i've talked postively about the company in many other posts and suggested it as start bikes for friends). however, a business responsibility is a responsibility to his customers to keep them informed/updated of their status. anyone who says otherwise should send me $50 and ill get back to them in about 3months .....
im not bashing anyone. im just being critical of irresponsible management/operations
