Bunch of whiney little ****s. Everything is still technically on time. I emailed him and had my shipping address changed. He responded back in probably 60 seconds saying he updated it and the orders were in customs.

^technically speaking they are not on time. 60 Days from the end of the promotion would have been Wed. the 27th (I'm pretty sure), unless he meant business days, in which case he would have had to state that. 60 days translates to 60 days, unless it clearly says 60 business days. So in short, they are just shy of being a week late. Granted they are in the US, and in customs, but it was stated that they would be Groupos will be delivered within 60 days of the offer's termination date 4/27/07".

Not trying to be a whiney little ****, but just saying a promise was made, and (PARDON THIS TERRIBLE PUN) not delivered.

Settle down Francis.

I'm not whining, I simply want my to get my gruppo soon.

It's hard to build wheels without the hubs.

Sorry I haven't posted but I have been in Puerto Rico with no internet access (man that sort of sucked). I will shoot Roger an email...this is too long IMO, unless Miche is shipping cocaine with their cranksets these things should be through customs by now.

Here is the latest update:

Sorry for the delay, but I can not control customs. The customs broker has been working diligently to get this released. Bare in mind that there is a whole container that has been picked out for inspection, our order is only a small part of that container.

It is easier to get illegal aliens into the US than bike parts, ask your wonderful President why this is.

I will have an update this morning & will let you know as soon as I speak with the broker.
So as soon as I get another update I will post it.

^thanks for taking care of this. I was not that excited when I called and was told "out of our hands". Granted my frameset for these parts doesn't show till today, and I can't build it till the weekend, it's a bit irritating to be told 60 days, and then to have that fall through.

Not being whiney to all you haters out there. Simply hate to be told X and get Y - happens when you work retail.... that **** irritates you.

Either way, lets just hope they get released soon.

Believe me I am with you on this...I took out part of his reply that asked that I remember that we had extended the order period a week...um yea but it has still been 60 days since the end of THAT order period.

I get my IRO frame today so I will have a jones to build it...but no parts.

+1, that's how I felt on Friday, so I bought a set of used wheels(with Miche hubs) to get the build going.

Tomorrow the frameset goes to the LBS for prep work.

Oh god don't get me going on wheels...I am on week 8 now for a single wheel to be built...and the same guy is selling me the rims for this build...so I don't have my rims yet either.

Well I called the builder and was a little pissed...at some point when he went to order the rim I was getting he found out that he couldn't get it for several more months....and then forgot to contact me with this info. So we picked a new rim and he is going to have me the wheel by the end of the week...so I will probably have my rims before the hubs once again.

what if customs cuts all the hubs in half on suspicion of stuff being smuggled inside.

Yea that is the original one he sent. Oddly even though I am the one setting the deal up and they have my name right on this list, when I got my recipt in the mail they had my name wrong.

danimal - look around this thread. There was at least one person looking to buy.

Does anyone know if the Miche lockring will work with regular fixed cogs, or only the Miche cog + carrier?

it will work with any cog you choose. now cogs all have the same thread pattern with the lock ring being the deciding factor in fit. I got a Miche wheelset in anticipation of this group buy and build and it came with a Dura Ace cog. Took a little searching, but soon found the answer. So you can even use the cog/carrier system with other hubs if that's your thing.

thanks for the info. I too bought a set of wheels(lightly used) w/Miche hubs to use until I build up a new set with the hubs from the gruppo.

Does anyone have any thoughts on Soma's cogs?

I just received a phone call double checking my address. They are working late tonight until they are all shipped out. We should have them in two days.
