Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Puch Conversion

Don't know how many of you will remember the thread, but I am the 27 y/o "kid brother" who completely dismantled my 1970's/8o's Puch that my older brother and I am trying to convert to a SS. Things are actually goiing pretty well. I have the frame sanded and am in the process of priming the frame. I took the whole thing apart because I figured if this is going to be my bike, I should at least know how it goes back together so I'm not one of these weekend "fixie" warriors who bought their fixed gear from a shop and doesn't know jack about it. Plus I get the satisfaction of building something that is truly mine. I am going to be puttingt all new parts on the frame so I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for headsets, hubs, and bottom brackets. I have figured that my bottom bracket has left and right threading so it's probably french or italian. Thanks in advance for your advice.
