Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? i tried the 53, it was a little tight the top tube seemed a bit short and the seat post was up about 5 inches so it was a little weird for me. im still not sure since it was an 80 stem, if i have the 110 i think it would be better. but the 59 would def be too big.

but just in the event that i dont get the 53, should i go for a bianchi? or does someone recommend me doing somethign else as in buying and building it with seperate parts?

honestly, i might just go with teh 53 and 110 stem. it didnt feel too small that i couldnt ride. it was short but the guy used a 80stem and flat bars.

my boy just told me he's riding a 53 and he's the same height as me. i'll give it a try when i go. what's the deal with upgrading parts at the shop? i'd probably just need to change the stem and i'd want to put some risers on it.

no complaints at all. he's around 5'11-6'0 and was almost suprised that i was looking at a bike bigger than that. he didnt know how long his stem was though, so that i'll have to see for myself.
