Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Basically, its not gonna happen.
And once again, anyone with the kind of skills required to do all this work would be much better off making their own frames rather that converting old road bikes for some dangerous and elaborate scam.

Someone could possibly fall for it, but if that's the case, then yes, they are beyond help and deserve what they get.

I think the worst thing that's going to happen is someone sticks on a tubing sticker that shouldn't be there, and that's more prevalent with the vintage bike crowd than anythign else (Reynolds 531 on a gaspipe frame, for example).
