Nice. Thats one thing off the list. That only leaves these things, "The geometry listed is clearly different than the frames pictured. The frames pictured have threadless forks while the seller says youll get threaded? Zero feedback."

I'm kinda watching this one:

That is my ride. I picked up a sparton frame second hand about a year ago. The builder is legit and real. Although, the frames that are being sold on ebay are very different than the one I have.

Mine has tight geo for the track, 26.6 seatpost, and tange tubing (no decals though), I have super tight clearance and toe overlap. Will say that the American market seems to be trying to import cheaper frames from the builder.

Something seems off in this photo, is it the angle of the camera?

shishi 08-08-07 09:38 AM

angle and rear stays both bend out.

Yes, but it looks a bit lopsided, doesn't it? I suppose it is just the angle of the camera....

dijos 08-08-07 09:45 AM

if you look at the dish on the rear wheel, it looks like the camera is crooked. Who knows, though?

of course, I finally buy a cheap windsor hour and all these budget frames start showing up on ebay. I really like the lugs on these frames.

ollyisk 08-08-07 11:38 PM

i'm pretty curious about this bike, for $169...it's a steal really.

exfreewheeler 08-09-07 03:23 AM

does the lug construction make up for the tubes being non-butted? Or do you think it would be heavy because of the straight-gauge tubing... if it is so.

That's just the Canye Uno frameset without the logos.

zzoundss 08-09-07 11:49 AM

I just emailed the guy about dimensions and threadless/or threaded.

The dimensions for the 54cm size are.....
"CENTER TO CENTER IS 52CM, CENTER TO TOP IS 54CM"

These bikes also come with THREADED forks.

Im thinking about picking one up quite soon.

kludge 08-09-07 01:00 PM

yes! it finally happened. a track frame for cheap in many colors.

you could get a bareknuckle or an iro but the bareknuckle is a few more bucks for new people and the iro only comes in one or two colors(before the bfssfg versions)

hopefully we wont be seeing anymore puegot conversions?

~Stuart~ 08-09-07 01:03 PM

wait... in the ebay page it says "No Welded Cable Guides, No Water bottle braze ons." then in the pic with the guy holding the bike... i can quite clearly see both...

mugatu 08-09-07 01:07 PM

if these are legit I'm absolutely getting one

those look horrible, check out the dropouts on them. why would you market that as a track bike but put those dropouts on the frame...oh yeah because people will buy them

jamey 08-09-07 04:06 PM

can't wait to see the thousands of threads about these frames in the upcoming weeks. move over IRO.

n_w_a_31 08-12-07 09:48 PM

anyone notice that the ebay listing has been removed?

mugatu 08-12-07 09:52 PM

dammit, I was waiting intently on those

Kol.klink 08-12-07 11:22 PM

Since when has butting become essential, whats wrong the straight-gauge, really its a bit heavy. but really, for 169 where not talking about some TT split second thing, if your doing up trusty old bar rig, why not go for the cheap frame from chile?

As i understand it, double butting does not make the bike stronger as they butted tubes are drawn thinner, so they are just as strong as straight gauge, but lighter, and if infact are more suceptable to denting and dings, in everyday riding

bonechilling 08-13-07 10:28 AM

Maybe they got so tired of answering questions about it that they made a new listing that isn't so vague.
