Chombo - i have a pair, and i dont think there good for riding. The soles are not stiff and the velro straps can get caught on your clips and straps. I only paid $40 for mine so i dont feel so bad.

I'm seriously setting up pegboard in the kitchen when we buy a house. If you paint it to match the walls, it isn't noticable and it's stupidly practical.

I'm also thinking about ripping off the bicycle wheel pot rack that readymade has a design for. It looks pretty rad and would save a bunch of space.

The pegboard in the kitchen only works if it absolutely never gets wet at all ever, that particleboard shizz swells and stains in a heartbeat, even if you paint it. Previous occupants of my place gifted me with that knowledge.

This thread rules.

Given adidas's track record with similiar straps on the addistar I predict a week-month of daily riding till those little cords fray.

Simple answer? They make plastic pegboard now. Made out of lexan if I recall correctly. Prime it with some Zinsser and hit it with whatever wall paint you want.

Doesn't Journeys stock these in like 80 different colors?

I may be handing out outdated information though. I haven't been to a mall in like 2 years.

yeah, that's a shame. I wouldnt trust their clipless shoes with those strings.
why the hell would they skimp such a critical part?

xylophonecks 08-14-07 03:09 PM

i like to keep my bananas in my belly.

cc700 08-14-07 03:16 PM

the banana hanger is good but you have to really like them to keep them et before they turn brown.

V-Rock 08-14-07 03:21 PM

kylen721 08-14-07 03:27 PM

I never realized that there were so many options for banana storage. Thanks for the enlightenment everyone.. now if only I liked bananas enough to eat them often

Yeah, I've seen plastic stuff in restaurant kitchens, though it was more like cutting board material (HDPE maybe?) and fish scale textured, I figured it would be teh sux to try to paint. Anyway, I'm not repeating the experiment any time soon, I'm happy with knife block, pitcher full of cooking utensils, and bananas in a basket.

sygyzy 08-14-07 03:39 PM

Man, thanks for posting these. I was going to ask where I can get form fitting non-laced, NON-Vans shoes for FG urban riding.

WRONG!

Banana bread FTW. Or banana chip cookies. Sometimes I buy too many and then refuse to eat them so my wife will make goodies.

ahand 08-14-07 04:03 PM

i personally use the hangar method, and as stated above me, if they get too musty, i just make banana bread. i find it's the most cost effective.

kludge 08-14-07 05:48 PM

im 100% into it. the guy on the bike can go but.....if they are stiff as hell then great, but it would have been better to offer a cleat option.
