gargiulo.mike 08-14-07 12:32 PM

they kinda look cool, i thought they were clipless shoes at first.
edit: how much do they cost?

ryanlovesyou 08-14-07 12:33 PM

when i saw the first picture, i thought they were really sweet clipless shoes, then i just got disappointed.

edit: on second look, they're actually pretty cool. if only they were clipless...

666pack 08-14-07 12:33 PM

i'd like them if they didn't have those velcro strips over the laces.

doofo 08-14-07 12:42 PM

uh no

I don't think they have laces.

To bad they use the unvelievably ****ty straps from the adistars.

SeanBonham 08-14-07 12:47 PM

come on...
they need to be clipless, I would rock dem for sure

look at the first picture, there's clearly laces sticking out from under the tounge.

cc700 08-14-07 12:49 PM

there's no laces, that's a pull strap so you can adjust the one-sided tongue.

they're pretty neat, but pricey at 50 bucks, and that's on sale from 80.

littledjahn 08-14-07 12:49 PM

Whatever, I want some. Will they make them to match my bike, too?

666pack 08-14-07 12:53 PM

eh, hope they work out for you.

i'll just stick with lowtop vans or sambas for now.

carleton 08-14-07 12:56 PM

Sweet. I'd rock 'em.

bonechilling 08-14-07 12:58 PM

These are absolutely awful

+1.

They're neat and all, but without cleat mounts I don't see why I should spend money on them when my Vans work great.

Kol.klink 08-14-07 01:14 PM

i'm sure everyone has seen these

i think they are pretty damm cool, goes anyone know of any sick SPD shoes that you can walk'n in that i wouldnt have to do the duck walk in, in essence shoes that i could wear to school and not have to change, i only walk from class to class, Red and black to be sure, it seems thats where my whole bike setup is going, soon the have red saddle with matching bar tape, why not shoes? maybe a chain when i need a new one

obstacle 08-14-07 01:15 PM

Wow. Lame.

lvleph 08-14-07 01:19 PM

Is the sole stiff? If so they would be good for clips.

cc700 08-14-07 01:30 PM

the sole is pretty stiff but w/ enough flex in the toes to walk comfortably in.

i'm going out for a ride so i'll post back an impression.

they're adidas 'Cyclo Race ST' st probably for 'street'

crushkilldstroy 08-14-07 01:35 PM

Where'd you get your banana hanger thing?

Sidi Dominators.

skinnyland 08-14-07 01:41 PM

Seems to me that they'd be good for racing/riding with toeclips, since stiff soles help. I mean, before the advent of clipless pedals, track racers used toe clips and wore shoes with stiff soles.
Trendy? Maybe. See how it pans out.
Functional? Yes.

cc700 08-14-07 01:44 PM

meh. they're not that great. better to just go clipless and get some real shoes.

they're definitely stiffer than sambas or other similar shoes, but they're also probably a few grams heavier and don't breathe any better. my feet are pretty sweaty. at least they have removable liners for washing.
