Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

This bike makes a lot of sense.

Very nice.

They blew it with the bullhorns for me. I ride 'staches on my commuter, but I sometimes wonder just what Redline has against the old standard drops.

Bikes: Steelman eurocross, Surly CrossCheck, IRO Rob Roy...

I have an 07. I've turned mine into a FG/CX bike. Great bike for the money. The 08 looks bad (IMO).

I think it's possible to put fenders on a fg commuter and have it look much less freddish. Then again my SOP is just to buy two sets of esges and chop the rear of one of them down into an extra long front fender, in order to avoid the indignity of a mudflap---not exactly a technique that lends itself to mass production, and the end product is more dangerous and less flexible than a flapped shorter fender. Also, for a fixed commuter I think you can't beat drops and tektro levers, especially if you want to take a function over style approach (ironically, i think that on the 925 this combo would garner bigger style points than the bullhrns and tt levers). However, obviously it's a very nice practical frame especially for the money. And I think the color scheme is very cool. Great work Redline!

i like the paint job and fenders. gives it sort of a vintage look.
