I do exactly what blickblocks said with my chrome. I have a carabiner and I hook it to the bag. I'm also interested in your adjuster, I don't like the chrome one very much. I actually like the buckle on the backside bags cause they are easier to adjust than my chrome. I don't think anyone has had problems with the stock hardware, but I am definatly thinking about some cooler/better stuff for mine.

Maybe I can send you an adjuster. I have 3 or 4 left from what my friend gave me (he worked at Schroth a little while back, just gave me a handful of "expired" harnesses). As soon as I get home I'll post pics, maybe you'll want to do the same mod.

By the way, I officially broke my sewing machine trying to sew this strap. :( I need an industrial and now I have a real excuse to look for one. I finished just by hand with a huge upholstery needle and upholstery thread.

schroth harnesses are serious equpiment.

that's badass and way cooler than described. looks almost stockish.

knucks 09-29-07 11:03 PM

That's so hardcore.

I'm not the best w/ a sewing machine so I don't know if I can handle a project like that, looks good though.

What's the orange pouch/case thing?

cc700 09-29-07 11:05 PM

i'm going to guess it's a cell-phone pouch, there's a little tag that i used as a clue.

i'm sure 'you can put your weed in there'[/adam sandler in the hot chick] or use it for any other kind of storage.

My machine died trying to sew through that stuff, so I had to do it by hand anyways.

The pouch is a phone case. I also stick my ID in there since I haven't found any other decent way to carry it for quick access. At my internship this summer our keycards came with the windup things and somehow it came undone one day while riding. I'm not dealing with that again.

hey there-

any updates on shipment on recent payments?
all these reviews are making the suspense more unbearable!

Post those questions on Kemmer's thread. This isn't the commerce subforum.

That adjuster is nice! The back up strap is nifty too, but I'm not sure I'd actually use it. If you've got a spare one I'd certainly be interested.

I just got my bag and it is amazing. It rides well and looks good. The white part on the bag makes a great canvas for all the artists out there. Well, heres some pictures.http://a404.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...53bd94aceb.jpghttp://a349.ac-images.myspacecdn.com...e06462bf3c.jpg

I wish the large was a bit smaller, or the small a bit larger!

kemmer 10-09-07 11:45 AM

The small really is a bit too small, but I think the large is perfect. I had a medium timbuk2 that worked fine but the extra space comes in really handy. It doesn't really bother me when it doesn't have much in it anyway.

knucks 10-09-07 11:51 AM

The large is sometimes a pain in the ass when I need to take it off in a crowded lecture hall.

That's what that handy buckle is for!

I feel exactly the same way.. the small feels great on your back but it doesn't FIT much. The large is Huge.

that's cool. I'm planning on doing something with mine, just not sure exactly what yet. Gotta get some color on that thing.

cc700 10-09-07 02:13 PM

i'm debating using my silver sharpie on it.

Doesn't sound like a fantastic idea. You could always embroider on easily if you have a sewing machine. Or you could work on a different piece of fabric (try a cotton kind) with paint pens and stitch it on by hand.

cc700 10-09-07 02:23 PM

not a bad idea, that.

kemmer 10-09-07 03:04 PM

I thought about drawing something on mine, but all I can draw is three legged dogs and cars with flat tires.

metaljim 10-09-07 09:58 PM

do it!

i'll probably break out the gaffer's tape and some thin caps and hit mine up as well.

jdeane4 10-09-07 10:31 PM

I can't really draw...All my art work is a bunch of abstract lines and shapes that I mend together to make something look funky...I enjoyed doing it but I need to figure out what to put over it so the sharpie doesnt come off...I can always keep filling it in with a sharpie...Oh well..

cdejesus24 10-08-08 04:12 PM

It's been about a year since the last post, so I'm wondering if anyone would care to give an update in regards to the quality/longevity of the bag.

So, any updates on how the bag's holding up?

Furthermore, would you buy it again if you could?

Thanks!

cdejesus24 10-08-08 04:15 PM

Oh, and if any modifications/repairs have been done to the bag, please share or post pics. I wish I could see blickblocks' mods, but as you guys can see, the pics are no longer up.
