Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Anything Wrong With My Conversion Plan?

Here it is:
Take an '06 OCR2 and,
strip the brifters, handlebars, RD, FD, two of the three chainrings on the Truvativ Touro cranks then,

add a Surly Singleator, spacers, nitto bars, tektro levers, and cog for the rear.

Anything obviously wrong with this conversion? Suggestions?

edit: I can't read. That seems like a really nice bike to be making a ghetto singlespeed from. Huge stable or what?

I have a CAAD9 Optimo 3 for going fast, a Giant Iguana sitting in storage, and this OCR2... I want to make something to lock up and commute with.
