i was laughing at myself: down to buy a set of 75 dolla double straps and not even know how to use them properly. i do know how to trackstand but i usually dont adjust my straps as much as i should. i'll give it a try later, probably easier than i thought it would be.

That being said, I have always found the biggest difference to my pedaling to come from a decent pair of cycling shoes. What I wouldn't give for a decent pair of touring shoes, designed for pedals as opposed to SPD's, like the sneaker style Canondale shoes from the 1980's to be available again. But anyway, with the French and Italian laminated straps starting above $35 now, and the QC not being what it used to be, I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for a second or third pair of Toshi straps. The price just has to be right. And that is why I thought a group buy might be just the thing.

Okay so some folks on a fixed thread in San Fran did a toshi double strap group buy and this is what the prices were:
7-14 people: 90$ + tax + shipping
15-24 people: 80$ + tax + shipping
25 and up: 75$ +tax + shipping
Now if it is agreed that we all are in for a toshi double I will go ahead and contact the person who started that group buy to see who they ordered from.
From personal experience I've had both Toshi single and double. While the singles are very good, the doubles are even better. You don't have to strap down the doubles as much since you have two straps per foot and they will probably last longer too. It does make sense (to me) if you use doubles just because you get better power with the ride. I've heard that Toshi are better made for longevity too because the buckle goes through all three layers of the leather, while MKS only goes through 1 or 2 I think. So yeah decide what yall want but I'm all in for Toshi doubles cuz they are well worth it (to me).

For what? Trying to fan any flames will only get this shut down and deny your forum mates straps.
It would be helpful to know who they negotiated with first and what the terms were. Also how they arranged payment and if the mailing was a bulk one. These are the kind of details that have to be ironed out before a group buy. We also have to find a long time forum member with moderator approval to handle any funds. It is a bad idea for a new and unapproved/unvetted member, like myself, to be trusted with that task.

I'm trying to figure out if you are trying to be baitingly obnoxious or just earnest and ill informed. I had the idea to do a group buy of Toshi singles and doubles. Having the answers to these questions isn't a requirement to putting forth the idea that we have a group buy. I right away mentioned that I wouldn't know who it was best to contact, and immediately asked for guidance from the forum as a whole. I've never said anything to the contrary.
you're in middle management aren't you.

Regarding loosening/tightening. You really don't need to do that with these unless you want to have them super tight. I have large feet and they held my feet well when I had them medium tight. I personally don't like having my straps tightened to the point of only being able to pull my foot out when I loosen it, but that's just me. I prefer a slight resistance but still cleanly being able to pull out.
I would gladly like to help organize this ordeal with ordering. I would need to hear from the other guy how he got it done.

Okay here's the deal. I need people who are seriously interested in the Toshi Double strap group buy to give a reply of I'm down and what color (red, blue, white, black) you want (now in the even that it can only be a color choice of black or white or ONLY black put your response). I need to get a # to give to see if they can do some sort of deal. I'm not gonna promise that I can get it but at least I can try.

Um, no. Look at my occupation, as I've bothered to fill out a profile.
A muzzle for a horse, how interesting. This is more my kind of muzzle:

Can we just get over it and work together to get everyone who wants them some sick straps at bargain prices? Shake hands and let's help each other, we all/most want $75 toshis, so let's figure out who has the resources to set it up

I'm all for the group buy, I'm just not taking part in it. In fact, I hope it goes off quite successfully.

Actually, I only told that to you. I have no beef with anyone else in this thread. You accused me of something ridiculous, acted like a total ignorant ass, and I do not regret my response. I will not take part in this if it means I have to deal with unnecessary complication from the likes of you.

np. We should get back on topic anyway. SO who wants to figure out who to order from?
