Obliterated NJS stamp
Anyone know why, on the newer black Sugino 75s, the NJS stamp has been stamped blank? Don't really give a ****, but just noticed it on a set that arrived at the shop.

Ya, I found it:

*Note~These cranks cannot have the NJS stamp because of the black finish. Although they are the exact same crank as the silver. Yes, NJS (Japanese Bicycle Promotional Institute) standards are color specific. Even if you took a NJS stamped crankset and colored it purple with a marker or whatever, it is no longer NJS approved and cannot be Keirin raced (stamp or no stamp). Make no mistake these are the EXACT same cranks as the silver, but because of the black finish, no stampy. FYI~only silver, gold or champagne are NJS approved colors.
