Bikes: 53cm Levant NJS, 54cm Motobecane

Alien Bikes

https://www.alienbikes.com/gear.html

Check out the frameset at the bottom. Lugged, no stupid flashy decals, no holes for brakes, no braze ons, no steep price tag. Also has room for wider tires. If I didnt just buy a Levant track frame, I would really wanna check this out

$400 coming soon.

I like the fork too. The lug work looks nice.

I like the companies mentality behind the design of the products.

Simple. Easy.

How much would an 07 Fuji Track frameset go for? Looks like a chance to upgrade

That's a pretty good deal. I wonder how much shipping from Norway will be.

Not a problem; "Alien Bikes has main "offices" in Norway (shipments are made from a warehouse facility in Michigan)"

Nice looking stuff. (except for those track ends)

edit: any idea what this piece is on the edge of the platform (right before the axle)?

I really want those pedals.

And crankset.

Too bad the frame doesn't come in white, it would really make the black components pop.

The track ends dont look too bad. A **** load better than some other drop outs shown in a thread earlier today and a hell of a lot cheaper than those Mission Bicicletas.

you remind me of the girl who sobbed in my 10th grade sex ed class because she didnt want to be told what love was

she wanted to discover it for herself

she said that the dictionary should contain an entry for every individual person's interpretation of a word

specifically the dictionary should be rewritten after she falls in love to include her description of it

um yeah

i wonder how that worked out

It's a good looking frame, and $400 is a good-enough deal, but it's not like it's that great. You're basically paying a $225 premium for lugs, over a comparable frame like the Kilo TT. Plus, you can find used, handmade lugged steel track frames on eBay in the $400-$500 range (especially in the smaller sizes), and I suspect that the price of these bikes are going to stay low or drop even more, with more entires like this into the market.

That said, they seem to have some really good deals, and I have no doubt that they'll sell a great many of these frames.

Not a bad price for those wheels either.

Those pedals look like they would really only be comfortable if you have slim feet or are wearing pretty stiff soled shoes.
