Deep V's online
I am trying to find the best place to order deep v's online. I'm looking for the gold non-machined rims and I need a 24hole rear and 32hole front. If anyone knows of a good place that is reputable place that isn't to expensive that would be great. Went to LBS and they could special order them for me but they wanted almost $100 a rim, thought I could get them around $60 on-line.
Thanks,
gregg

also, is there a reason you are having a lower spoke count in the rear? that doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense. You should be able to find them at ben's pretty easily for a normal price. benscycle.com

The reason the low rear hole count is that a friend came back from Japan and found a new pair(NOS) of suntour superb hubs and gave them to me so I want to build them up.

24h on the rear sounds weird to me, shouldn't it be the other way around, 32h rear and 24h front? I ride the exact rims you are looking for (pics in my sig) and the lowest I have ever seen them in are 28hs, which I have. I like them a lot but if you are a heavy guy, 24h in the rear could be a bad idea....

Just go with 36 spokes and use good quality spokes. I paid 175$ for my machine built Deep V...I know I got ripped off but I was in a pinch and need a rear wheel. I didn't have 250$ for the set...it is a formula hub and so far it has been a great wheel. The Deep V is not a wheel to save weight, it is a bulky hunk of metal. Enjoy it for the rugged masculinity or if you just want light weight get some tubulars.
