Fuji Track..
I stopped at this bike shop I haven't been to much, to have them do some stuff to my bike real quick, the owner points out that I'm tall and have a fixed conversion in my hand. He brings me over to this Fuji Track bike he's had for a while. He ordered it for a guy, the guy ended up backing out of the deal. Now he's stuck with this 61cm bike. He offered to sell it to me for 300. I told him I'd think about it. What do you guys think? Is that a good deal?

Why would you buy it?
Is there something wrong with your conversion? Are you going to start track racing?
$300 is ok but it's not great especially for a 2 model old one in November. I wouldn't go above $250 cash after tax.

I honestly used to be a dutret supporter, back when you were really rude, but only when people were throwing around misinformation. Nowadays it seems like you're just being a dick because you were pushed around in grade school or something.

Sometimes I feel like you're disagreeing just for the sake of being argumentative. Are you really meaning to tell me that you haven't ever owned 2 bikes that have a similar purpose at once? And what does it matter that it's 2 years old? It's still sitting around the store unused. To offer 250 when the shop owner's already cutting a hell of a deal at $300 is pretty ****ing rude and kind of shows what kind of a person you are.

Offering $250 cash is not rude it's reasonable. The owner is practically begging him to take the bike. Why should he jump on the first offer when he knows the owner is going to accept less as long as he doesn't have to look at it anymore and has cash in his hand.
Yes I am against owning two bikes that serve the same purpose. It's wasteful especially if you could instead buy something you don't have.

If they really wanted to get rid of it, they'd throw it on eBay just like every other bike shop.
It's a great deal. If you don't need it, don't get it. Worst case, you can re-sell it yourself or strip parts off of it for your conversion.

It matters because the shop clearly hasn't been able to sell it and therefore will be more amenable to bargaining. $300 is not a great deal it's pretty close to the maximum anyone should pay for a fuji track ever. Thats barely cheaper then one would be from BD and the that particular vintage is known to have cog issues. I've seen previous years fuji tracks sell for significantly less than that in Nov. For a two year old one the price should go down even further just because the shop has had that much more proof that they aren't going to be able to move it.
