Richmond, you cats are lucky I go to Virginia Tech and hardly anyone rides fixed- I feel like I'm the only one who does-

i go to uva but there isn't really a sense of cameraderie between the students that ride fixed, and there are no more than 5 or so students that ride fixed. it's usually like you'll see that they ride a fixed but you'll pretend not to notice or care when you pass by them. although the townies seem to be more into fixed.

I met like three other people at Tech that ride fixed, one skidded right into my car when I was at an LBS (he even had a front brake); it was funny- but I've never seen them again.

The guy who skidded into my car at east coasters rode a small white schwinn le tour conversion, the other people I met had used frames with iro cranks; there was this nice guy with nitto bullhorns and bontrager bar ends. I can't remember exactly- I used to ride a cannondale track- got rid of it though since I decided to go back to a steel frame.

Ive only met one other kid who rides fixed from another college, and he goes to ODU. He said that hes only seen like 2 fixed bikes on campus. I wonder if any other colleges have as large of a following as VCU does.
