Mine back in the summer. Setup is a little different now, handlebar tape for starters, different stem and a brake, since I'm doing more long distance stuff with it. I graduated in May so I haven't been to campus either recently or frequently. It's one of the IRO Group Purchases.

how many mm's was the stem in that picture? looks longer than my 120mm mutant that im starting to dislike

oh and i go to sarge not vcu but once my handlebars and saddle come in ill be riding a blue BFSSFG iro which ill get pics of sooner or later. right now i ride a ratty old 70s motobecane or my bmx

Smiziley 11-12-07 12:06 AM

I think it was 130 or 140 mm. Too long for my arms, but it looked good. It would cause a weird stitch in my back right below my right shoulder even on the shortest of rides. Fortunately a shorter stem cured that.

I gotta take some pics with the Spinergy!

And yeah, Tim, that's the same Merckx! I might buy it from him now, actually... :D

photoshop FTW

yes, i live in rhoads, thanks for the compliment

the thursday night rides meet at 10 and start 30 minutes later

that merckx is so beautiful, and it needs a better home, i vote you sage

art majors, whoop whoop!

i like that bfssfg build, minus teh stem, but im just a hater of those stems

Straws 11-12-07 10:51 AM

How many miles are the thursday rides, generally?

lordgold 11-12-07 11:38 AM

The only one I went on, we went to UofR and back. So that was probably 15 miles? We started out with a lot of people, seemed like it was close to 60-70 people, but probably only 25-30 did the whole ride.

VAwitt 11-12-07 11:51 AM

they have been a lot shorter recently
but if more people came, it would be longer probably

Smiziley 11-12-07 05:08 PM

UR and back is much shorter than 15 miles. Compass to 3 Chopt by way of Grove and back is only 8 miles. The compass to Boulevard is only 1 1/4 miles.

pot holder 11-12-07 06:03 PM

i've really been meaning to make it up to fist city and do some riding around.

all good. until then i'll just keep doing my tour de warwick blvd.

Straws 11-12-07 07:24 PM

from the compass to my apartment (corner of stuart and thompson) it's 2.2 miles.

lordgold 11-12-07 08:14 PM

Since my bike really isn't that memorable, and since most of you seem to be in Rhoads/Brandt, I'm the kid with the neon orange chrome bag.

You think NN is bad, try living in Williamsburg.
Everyone drives like an *******. It's also incredibly ****ing boring. There are a lot of cyclists though.

I've seen you walk past the commons. Must have been on a MWF because those are the days I'm there, around 1-2pm.

It's orange with red, right?

Nope. Orange with white. I'm hardly ever in the commons...only when I'm getting Chick-fil-a.
I'm an art kid, so I'm down at the Bowe Street parking deck most days.

Straws 11-12-07 08:59 PM

ah, freshman doing AFO at bowe street?

lordgold 11-12-07 09:02 PM

Sadly. I'm glad this semester's almost over. I have my two easy studio classes next semester.
And I get my Kilo for Christmas!
