Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Got track nuts from Sheldon Brown...

Trying to get some activity going here.. Couldn't think of anything else to post about.

My Bianchi and my Miche hubs both came with cheap nuts, so I decided to get the track ones with the integrated washer. Kind of steep at about 6 bucks a piece (with the shipping), but I couldn't find them locally (I only asked at Cycle Smithy). Do you guys know if anyone like Yojimbos or somewhere sells the same thing, because I ordered four and I actually needed four pairs.

I'm picking up my wheels today. I'll post some pictures later.

They are worth the $6. For one thing, they save your frame from getting shredded.

I think Upgrade MAY have some (call first). Same for Marcus' shop (Yojimbo's).
You can even try Urban Bikes...

Weird, my miche nuts are really nice -- builtin washers, nice chrome finish.
