i'm also using specialized mtb shoes (taho model in brown) along with candy sl pedals on my fixed gear.

the cleats are recessed enough that they don't really make contact with the ground (only a little bit of clickety clack sound when walking on concrete or asphalt).

i've been happy with this setup for the month or so i've been using it.
