Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Serious question. Please advise on the PDQ.

It seemed to me that people were just posting random nonsense, and it doesnt get any more random nonsense that that.

I have 2 stickers on my Jeep. One is for a local bike shop. The other is the Descendents. I don't think I will ever be too old to love that band.

I find it amusing that we're supposed to take political advice from cyclists who can't _______ (fill in the blank):

a) tune a dérailleur
b) discern out the difference between ISO and JIS square taper
c) recognize the difference between fillet brazed or TIG welded (on steel)
d) all of the above

My roomate stole my "everything sucks" T-shirt. If I ever see that dickweed again I'm gonna punch him in the throat. That ****bag didn't even like the descendents, he just liked the shirt.

Edit: who knew so many SSFGers liked the Descendents.

I'm just glad it's multiple choice for us simpletons.
And good job finding the accented "e" on your keyboard! If only there were a suitable English spelling for dérailleur...

Yeah, can you believe these pathetic losers don't know the difference between the various ways to attach steel tubing? Or the microscopic difference between the tapering on cranks? It's almost as if they can more about RIDING THEIR BIKES than they do about mundane bicycle minutiae! I bet these losers don't even know the thread count of their own bottom brackets!!@!#
